Trust & safety

A vetting framework you can inspect, line by line

Trust is a process, not a promise. Here is exactly what happens before a specialist reaches your home and what continues once they are there.

The framework

Eleven controls across the specialist lifecycle

Identity verification

Government-issued identification is reviewed and matched to application details before onboarding proceeds.

Credential review

Training certificates, CPR/First Aid, and specialty completions are collected, dated, and tracked for expiration.

Reference checks

Professional references are contacted directly, with outcomes recorded on the specialist's profile.

Background screening workflow

Screening is initiated with consent through third-party providers. Scope and permissible use vary by state and locality.

CPR / First Aid tracking

Expiration dates are monitored, with automated reminders and profile flags when renewal is due.

Continuing education

Active specialists are expected to complete ongoing education relevant to their service categories.

Confidentiality expectations

Professional conduct, discretion, and household confidentiality expectations are set in writing for every placement.

Family feedback

Structured check-ins during and after the engagement feed a quality score visible to our operations team.

Quality monitoring

Care logs, handoff summaries, and schedule adherence are reviewed by our QA team on a sampling basis.

Incident escalation

Concerns route to a named operations owner with documented resolution steps and follow-up.

Role limitations

Duties outside the documented scope are declined and escalated to a licensed provider or the family's care team.

For families

Your part of the safety partnership

A short checklist that keeps everyone aligned during the first weeks.

Confirm your specialist's current CPR/First Aid status in their profile

Review the written care plan and scope boundaries before day one

Keep emergency contacts and pediatric provider details in your portal

Use the care log and handoff summary daily during the first two weeks

Raise concerns to your concierge lead as soon as they appear

Limitations

What this framework does not do

Not emergency medical services

NCS Resources does not provide emergency or urgent medical care. If you have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.

NCS designation is not a medical license

A Newborn Care Specialist designation does not itself create a nursing or medical license. Clinical services must be provided by appropriately licensed professionals where required.

Scope of service varies by jurisdiction

Newborn Care Specialist duties, agency licensing, employment classification, and background-check requirements vary by state and locality. Services are coordinated to comply with applicable law in your area.

Privacy-aware referral handling

Share only the information needed to coordinate a family's request. NCS Resources does not claim HIPAA compliance for this workflow unless it has been technically configured and verified for your organization.

Screening results reflect information available at the time of the check and are not a guarantee of future conduct. NCS Resources does not claim accreditation, state licensure, certification authority, or guaranteed outcomes.
